I’m sorry that I haven’t been responding to all the messages that are stacking up in my inbox. I’ve been without internet except on my phone. And that still isn’t working right because there is so much chaos here the phones are bogged down.

But, I really do appreciate all the kind words you all have left me. My internet family is seriously amazing. You’ve all been very kind and compassionate while I live through this. I’m lucky that I have two strong communities to call my own. My hometown and you. Thank you.

My community may have been hit hard but we are standing strong here. You never get used to the tornadoes but you learn to cherish what’s really important. My family is safe. My friends are safe. Homes may be destroyed but we can rebuild. The lives that were taken yesterday weigh on my heart. It is more awful than I can say but we’ll get through this because that’s what we do.

Yeah, tornado ripped apart this community. It’s awful but my family is safe. I can’t really explain the devastation I’m seeing today but it’s scary. I was in the cellar and I heard the tornado coming and it is one of the scariest things you can imagine. Your thoughts are needed here.
